At Griffin & Associates, we believe healing is possible, hope is real, and lives can be restored. Since our founding in 2018 by Starr Griffin, we have been committed to delivering comprehensive, evidence‑based mental health and addiction services tailored to our clients’ needs. We serve individuals, teens, and families across the full spectrum of behavioral health challenges—always with compassion, integrity, and excellence.
Our Services for DCS Clients
As a trusted partner to Indiana’s Department of Child Services (DCS), Griffin & Associates is proud to offer a full suite of services across nearly the entire state. Below is an overview of what we provide and how we partner with DCS to support families in crisis.
Statewide Presence
We operate in all 5 DCS regions and in 90 of Indiana’s 92 counties (excluding Lake and Marion counties). DCS Offices
This broad coverage enables us to respond quickly, maintain local contacts, and provide continuity of care.
Family Preservation Services (FPS)
Key features of our FPS offering:
Single-Provider Model: Families have one point of accountability, reducing fragmentation and streamlining communication.
Outcome-Focused: We are reimbursed per diem rather than hourly, so our priority is results, not billable hours. (Indiana Government)
Concrete Supports: We allocate 15% of our FPS budget toward tangible, concrete supports (e.g. housing assistance, transportation, utility help, vouchers) that directly stabilize households.
Evidence-Based Interventions: Our team is trained in multiple best practices to address root causes—such as trauma-informed care, behavioral interventions, parenting skills, substance use supports, and family functioning assessments.

Clinical & Behavioral Health Services
Beyond our DCS collaboration, Griffin & Associates provides a broad spectrum of clinical and behavioral health services for the community (teens, adults, families) including:
Intensive Outpatient Therapy (IOT) for Substance Use
We now offer Intensive Outpatient Therapy (IOT) for both teens and adults struggling with substance use or misuse.
Structure: Three group sessions per week, each lasting approximately 3 hours
Supportive Care: Every participant receives a peer recovery coach to assist with basic needs (housing, employment, transportation), along with individual therapy sessions
This model is designed for those who need more than standard outpatient care but do not require full residential treatment.
Telehealth Services
We offer individual therapy via telehealth, ensuring access for clients who cannot visit in person.
Group IOT sessions are also available in a virtual format, extending our reach to more clients across the state.
